OWN IT on March 18 - 24 and take ownership of poison prevention.
As a leading manufacturer of child resistant closures, it’s important to our team at Mold-Rite Plastics to also take the next step in keeping kids safe. Through innovative design, an in-depth knowledge of the standards set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) and a rigorous testing process, we know that we produce industry leading, child resistant closures to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and household chemical markets. However, that’s not enough.
Mold-Rite Plastics is an organization deeply rooted in the philosophy of Extreme Ownership, a leadership concept developed by US Navy Seals Leif Babin and Jocko Willink and detailed in the book, Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win. We at Mold-Rite Plastics have taken this message to heart, and approach everything that we do through the lens of extreme ownership. It helps us to better serve both our customers and the consumers who ultimately utilize our products. As Jocko Willink stated in this book, “Leaders must always operate with the understanding that they are part of something greater than themselves.”
Creating properly functioning child resistant closures is only the first step in something much greater – keeping consumers safe. Encouraging and promoting proper use of these closures is the next step and one which we must take as a leader in this industry. That’s why we’ve partnered with the National Poisoning Prevention Council to help spread the message and encourage our customers and all consumers to join us as we approach Poison Prevention Week and ask you to join us as we OWN IT.
There are many ways that we as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles… as consumers can minimize risks of accidental poisonings. Let’s all OWN IT and together we can ensure that we continue the trend toward fewer accidental poisonings in the home.
